Syren De Mer (real name Shannon L. Pollock), born on June 24, 1969, in Bellingham, Washington, grew up in Yakima. Her early career started as a gymnastics instructor, and later she pursued photography at the Art Institute of Seattle.

In 2005 she submitted her photos to Playboy, but was declined. Producer Seymore Butts discovered her work and eventually she signed with Lisa Ann’s agency, entering adult films around age 37 in 2006.

Since then she has appeared in over 650 to 830 films, working with top studios such as Red Light District, Legal Porno, Girlfriends Films, Anarchy Films, and more. She later branched out into directing.

Syren has several tattoos (wrist, thigh, lower back) and a pierced navel; she is the mother of two and divides her time between Seattle and Los Angeles.
